My community and I. Week: From 11/20/2017 to 11/24/2017

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This is our last week of learning about “My Community and I”. We will learn a new weekly subtopic called “Our Neighborhood”. Children will explore their surroundings. They will observe the kinds of stores in their area such as groceries, dry cleaners, barber shops, clothing boutiques, bookstores and toy stores. Children will be encouraged to be kind, nice and considerate to their neighbors and show respect to them. We will be also learning about Thanksgiving.

We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences. Each one of these activities will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Some of the activities children will enjoy this week are:

· Children will look at flashcards of different places of our community.
· Children will learn to distinguish the concepts of in and out while placing and removing toys from a container.
· Children will learn to identify the red color of images and toys.

Thank you for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life and we hope you have a great weekend.
