What we are learning?

Dear Parents,
 
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little athletes. 
 
We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will have fun while learning how to kick a ball and participating in crawling races. They will also continue touching and feeling different textures.  They will learn the concept of up and down while playing with balls of different textures and try to throw bean bags into a container while enjoying the outdoors. It will be a fun week full of exciting physical activities!

·         The Olympics on Friday, August 3^rd, 2018.
·         Last Day of Summer Camp on August 9^th, 2018.

Dress Code

·         Dress as an athlete for Tuesday, July 31^st, 2018.

Friendly Reminders:

·         Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering your child’s classroom.
·         Make sure to wear shoe covers when entering the classroom to drop your child.
·         Knock before entering the classroom to make sure there is no one behind the door
·         Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.
·         Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has an extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
·         Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing.
·         Always store pacifiers in their packages.
·         Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream, and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a tote bag.
·         Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested or needed.
·         Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and place them in the refrigerator or counter. If you leave the lunch box in the counter, make sure to put ice packs inside the lunch box. 
·         Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.
·         Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.
·         Apply sunscreen to your child every morning.
·         Make sure to keep in your child’s cubby a pair of glasses and a summer hat.
·         Have your child wear a swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Make sure to send a towel and a tote bag for wet items. Label and pack all these items in the tote bag.
·         Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellent should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a tote bag.

What we are learning?

Children will listen and imitate the sounds of the animals, they will have fun creating towers with cubes and they will learn the meaning of in and out while trying to put toys inside a small container.

We have also scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. It will be a fun summer week!

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will enjoy the following activities:

·         Learning to identify the sensations of warm and cold water.

·         Classifying toys by color.

·         Listening to a storybook about marine animals.  

·         Understanding the concept of give-take while playing with a ball.

Week: From July 9th to July 13th, 2018

What we are learning? 

Dear Parents,
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little readers. Children will be reading different storybooks and will also participate in drama play. We have scheduled learning activities related to reading so children can continue learning through experiences.

Children will enjoy discovering and exploring stories, enjoy some outdoor fun during our Splash days and cherish some fun times during Pajama Day with their classmates. They will be also touching different textures and moving toys from one container to another one, etc. It will be a fun week!
