Week: July 3rd to July 7th, 2017 Feature Theme: Little Gardeners

What  are we learning?

Dear Parents,

 

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little gardeners. Children will learn about the parts of the plants by looking at flashcards.

 

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. The week will start with our Independence Parade on Monday. Children will also enjoy discovering and exploring nature during the visit to the park and watering a tree. Children will also touch and feel the texture of our plant “Chispita”. On Wednesday, they will enjoy sharing moments with their classmates on Camping Day.

Friendly Reminders

• Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering your child’s classroom.

• Make sure to wear shoe covers when entering classroom to drop your child.

• Knock before entering the classroom to make sure there is no one behind the door

• Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.

• Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

• Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing.

• Always store pacifiers in their packages.

• Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a Tote bag.

• Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested or needed.

• Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared.

• Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.

• Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

• Apply sunscreen to your child every morning.

• Make sure to keep in your child’s cubby a pair of glasses and a summer hat.

• Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Make sure to send a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Label and pack all these items in the tote bag.

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

 

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little travelers and interesting facts about United States of America.

 

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences! Children will listen to American music, tear down towers, learn the concept of up and down using an airplane while pretending to travel all over the country.  It will as always a week full of learning and fun activities kids enjoy and cherish.

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. Summer has started and so have fun days with our Splash days. This week the children will learn everything about being little chefs.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences while playing with water in our Splash days and being in the outdoors taking a walk or building towers with cubes. Children will explore and feel the ice texture and they will pretend to cook while being little chefs.

This coming week we will review everything we have learnt through the school year, particularly the areas that require improvements. Children will learn to identify the shape and name of geometric figures, they will also identify different emotions and learn to identify the concept of warm and cold.

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This month our theme is “annual review”. This coming week we will review everything we have learnt through the school year, particularly the areas that require improvements, in particular, the basic colors.

 

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will try to throw balls into a container, build puzzles and say thanks. We will also have fun playing musical instruments and singing songs.
